초록/요약
The 21st century has seen the advent of era of culture and information. Korea is ranked as the top in IT, but has a long way to go in cultural aspect. Fortunately, local self-governing system has enabled each local government to perform various cultural policies that show regional features. Among them, local cultural festival is drawing support and attention. This study deals with tea culture festival, which is more common in some areas with shared elements compared to other festivals. One of those shared elements is tea-serving ceremony (進茶儀式). Tea-serving ceremony dates back to the Three Kingdom's Period and was very active in Koryo Dynasty Period. Especially, tea-serving ceremony during auspicious ceremony (嘉禮) was popular in palaces and mostly performed during installation of the Empress Dowager (太后), queen (王妃), crown prince (王太子), prince (王子) and princess (公主). In this study, I would like to explore the procedure and content of such ceremony based on "Koryo History 󰡔高麗史󰡕". The motivation of this study is to find literary foundation of tea-serving ceremony, which is still considered important in modern tea-culture festival. In other words, they are advertising this in order to promote tea culture to national level. Furthermore, putting effort to demonstrate the excellence of our tea culture would be the best way to draw attention. However, it is true that theoretical considerations, such as what the origin of the festival is, and what material the content is based on, are almost neglected. Since this is the crucial issue that has to be considered in every moment of the festival, it would be necessary, in order to popularize tea culture, to include the objective meaning of tea culture to every procedure of the festival and to advertise it. The most important part of this study is how to explore literature concerning tea-serving ceremony. Especially, since there are few precedent study concerning the tea culture in Koryo Dynasty Period, this should be reviewed above all. Tea-serving ceremony performed during the auspicious ceremony in Koryo Dynasty Period contains a variety of procedures, which are recorded in detail in "Koryo History 󰡔高麗史󰡕". Thus, in order to deliver the literary foundation of tea-serving ceremony that are being performed in modern tea culture festival and explore the structure of traditional tea-serving ceremony, it would be efficient to focus on the ceremony during the auspicious ceremony. In conclusion, the purpose of this study is to revitalize the tea-serving ceremony back in Koryo Dynasty into modern tea festival.

21세기 들어서 문화정보의 시대가 도래하였다. 우리나라의 정보화는 상당한 수준에 도달하여 세계에서 가장 우위를 보이고 있지만, 문화의 면에서는 아직도 가야할 길이 멀게만 느껴진다. 다행히 지방자치제가 실시되면서 각 지자체에서는 지역의 특성을 살린 각종 문화정책을 실시하고 있는데, 그 중에서도 지역문화축제에 대한 지원과 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 차문화축제는 다른 축제에 비해 몇 곳의 지역에서 공통적인 요소를 가지고 행해지고 있는 특징적인 축제라 할 것이다. 그 공통적 요소 중 하나가 바로 축제 참가자들에게 차를 내는 의식인 進茶儀式이다. 진다의식은 삼국시대부터 비롯되어 고려시대에 활발한 양상을 보여준다. 특히 궁중에서는 嘉禮시 진다의식이 발달하여 太后, 王妃, 王太子, 王子, 公主 등의 冊封儀式에서 주로 진다의식이 행해졌다. 본고에서는 그 절차와 내용에 대해 󰡔高麗史󰡕를 중심으로 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 이는 현대의 차문화축제에서 진다의식이 중요시 되고 있기 때문에 그 문헌적 근거를 찾고자 하는 소박한 시도에서 출발한 것이다. 다시 말해서 차문화를 범국민적인 차원으로 승화시키기 위해서 축제의 현장에서 이를 홍보하고 있다. 나아가 차문화축제를 통해 우리 차문화의 우수성을 알리는데 노력을 경주하는 것이 단시간에 차문화에 대한 관심을 고조시키기 위한 좋은 방법이라 할 것이다. 그러나 차문화 축제의 근원이 어디에 있는지, 그 내용은 어떠한 자료에 바탕하고 있는지 등에 대한 원론적 고민이 매우 축소된 듯한 인상을 감출 수 없다. 이는 축제의 현장에서 매 순간마다 고려되어야 할 중요한 문제이다. 따라서 축제의 내용을 구성하는 모든 절차에 차문화가 갖는 객관적 의미를 담아 이를 홍보하고 실행함으로써 알찬 프로그램을 시행하는 것은 우리 차문화의 대중화를 위해서도 필요한 작업이라 할 것이다. 본 고를 정리하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 부분은 진다의식의 문헌적 내용을 어떻게 밝혀내는가에 있다. 특히 고려시대의 차문화를 다루고 있는 선행연구가 다른 연구에 비해 부족한 실정이기 때문에 우선적으로 고려시대의 차문화에 대한 종합적 검토가 진행되어야 한다. 고려시대 가례시 행해진 진다의식은 다양한 의식절차를 담고 있고, 이러한 내용이 󰡔高麗史󰡕에 자세히 기록되어 있기 때문에 문헌적 근거를 밝혀 내기 좋은 자료가 된다. 따라서 현재 행해지고 있는 차문화 축제의 현장에서 진다의식의 문헌적 근거를 올바로 전하고, 전통 진다의식에 대한 구조를 제대로 밝혀 내기 위해서는 가례시의 진다의식에 초점을 맞추는게 효율적으로 보인다. 결국 현대의 축제 현장에서 고려시대 가례시 행해졌던 진다의식을 현대적으로 활용하기 위한 도구로 삼고자 하는데 본 고의 목적이 있다.
